Our job is to change and improve lives and developing the next generation. It is our role to ensure we prepare young people for the world and prepare them for the 21st Century, and build them into value adding contributors to society. We recognise that there are many contributing factors and educating and inspiring our students to realise their true potential is a vital part of that. Helping them to build resilience, self belief and a mindset for growth is all important in helping them to do just that. In addition, the changing landscape of education and demands on our students makes this work an essential component to their success.
We are working with Think Works to develop these attributes in both our pupils and our staff. From workshops with staff, sessions with year groups to online resources for teachers to use in working with pupils themselves, Simon works upon our understanding of how to get the very best out of ourselves and those around us. The parallels between sport and education are plain to see – ultimately, developing a winning mindset is about focusing upon what we do and how we can do it better.
Simon has engaged and motivated the staff, who have bought into the concepts and are working on applying these on a daily basis. The level of service and value that Simon provides is superb and given the huge demands and limited budgets we have – it is all important to have people that work ‘with’ us rather than ‘at’ us. Simon is inspirational and fully believes in the work to benefit our young people.
Ultimately our goals are to improve the results of our students, both academically and behaviourally. The knowledge and tools we gain from working with Simon and Think Works are helping us do just that…
